It achieves a self-propelled top speedof 60 km/h, with the ability to climb 80% gradients and navigate R25m tight curves. The vehicle bodymeets EN12663 strength standards and can operate in tandem with a locomotive or as part of a train,offering flexible and convenient operation.

Equipped with ultra-hard alloy blades and a new alloy grinding wheel, the FGM500B significantly enhances rail milling capability and surface finishing quality, offering high grinding efficiency with minimal sparks. The processed rail surface complies with EN13231 standards, featuring a 10% increase intool life, a 20% boost in operational efficiency, and an impressive 99% collection rate for chips and sparks.With expanded fuel tank and chip bin capacity, it ensures continuous operation for no less than 6 hours.
Rigorously Validation and Reliable Performance
The FGM500B has successfully passed its type test in Guangzhou Metro, jointly conducted with the National Engineering Laboratory. Southwest Jiao tong University completed a three-month testing period, covering dynamics, catenary current collection, and operational performance, with all indicators meeting the requirements and delivering excellent results.
Proven in Practice with High Praise
The FGM500B has completed operational assessments on Suzhou Metro Lines 1 and 4, as well as Guangzhou Metro Lines 3 and 7 since its decommissioning, with its performance receiving consistent recognition from customers.

The FGM500B has now completed its winterization upgrade and passed factory tests, and is set to head to northern heavy-haul railways to tackle extreme low temperatures of-25°C and begin a new round of milling services.
